Almost a month ago, I attended a wedding. It was held at a quaint function room up at peaceful Mt. Dandenong. I'm so sorry I couldn't remember the name of the place. :(

This is the first time I've ever attended a wedding after living almost a good 8 years in Melbourne. Time just passes by huh? Just like how Shen Ling is already married. 8 years ago she was probably still at the beginning of her degree in medicine. Now, she has become a fully specialised doctor.

If I ever were to have a wedding, I would definitely do it like hers. It reminds me of Europe, artistic and scenic. And you know how much I love getaways, and this does feels like a getaway. It's like as if I have steped into a different world altogether. Boring city wedding is overrated. :P

Without further ado...

This macaroon signifies the first gift that the groom ever gave to the bride. Everybody has one. :)

Lady Gaga and the Girls

The truth is I don’t usually splurge on cosmetics, especially lipsticks. I never really thought they compliment me because as you can see my features ain’t no make-up model. So I usually go for basics and affordability.

I was taking a stroll in David Jones after work on a Friday evening and couldn’t help but noticed the make-up artists at MAC, so impeccably dolled up and groomed. I on the other hand, just sneak quietly to one corner (in my tired and oily skin) of the beauty counter and pretended to be interested in their products where I stumbled across these two tubes. One wrote Lady Gaga and the other Cindy Lauper. I remembered seeing it somewhere before, probably in one of those magazines that I usually read. And then I thought to myself “ah, that’s right, these are the charity lipsticks that I was reading about”. They looked like ordinary lipsticks to me at first, but after I tested out the Lady Gaga version, I instantly fell in love with the colour and the next thing I know, I made my purchase. :P

Birthdays and Love Notes

I never ask alot on my birthdays. I do not appreciate big celebrations merely because I never had one or should I say never had the CHANCE to have one. I usually settle with a holiday/outing with my parents. I even celebrated my millenium birthday in a small town out of San Francisco call Eureka, not far from Lake Taho.

My recent years:

My first birthday present from Yoon Sing was a Tiffany Notes necklace. My second birthday present from him was a Tiffany Notes ring. He usually gets me something meaningful on my birthdays rather than something expensive. He saves the big splurges for other occasions, usually at times where I want something really really bad :P.

From then, I have fell in love with Tiffany Notes simply because it has a plain and simple message on it which every soul in the world are familiar with but yet fail to embrace the saying, 'I Love You'.

I went to Chaddy with my Mum and she decided to contribute to my collection of Tiffany Notes, a bracelet this time. Teehee.

I know its plain and simple but to me it's something meaningful. And it's a little thing called 'Love'.

I have been abusing it a lot these days. Or should I say accentuating on it a lot these days.
It came to a point where it is my only mean of expressing my agitated and frantic attitude which I have been developing lately. Up until now, I do not know what erupts the anger inside of me. I am yet to find out, trust me.
One word: Ruthless

I have to put a stop to it before I realise I can never go back. A dignified young lady should never be caught using profanity which I intend to work on being. So that means I need to commit myself into monitoring my language all the time FROM NOW ON!

A very long time ago (not really that long ago), I have ceased to believe in a world where “everything is like a bed of roses”. But recently (not that recent actually), I am starting to believe in it again. Thanks to a certain someone.

But yesterday, I found that kryptonite again. The one that made me lose my sanity and good sense a very long time ago. Now, it’s back again, and I don’t know how long it will stay. I want it to go away. Very badly.

It’s déjà vu I’m telling ya. I’m afraid that history will repeat itself, but definitely with a greater impact this time.

My only hope now is for that someone to not give in. It all started with him/her and now only he/she can save me for now.

After a few long months or almost a year of waiting, I have finally found peace with reality/fantasy (from different perspectives).

Let there be no more uncertainty, unstability, unsettlingly. Let there be more good to come and let the bitter end be a place to start afresh, a new life with similarity, the wonderful side of a parallel universe. Let it stay.

I was never the type of person that let themselves drown in self-pity. But sometimes I wonder why do I have to potray a tough image, not to anyone else but in actual fact I am proving this point to myself. To whom do I have to prove? NO ONE.

My stubborness has taken a toll on my life. I've shut myself away from advises, care, support and people that tried to do something to make a difference for me all these time.

I began to wonder is it time for me to Give Up on that mission impossible and get back on track to reality? And save myself from drowning in too deep, before I become what I have sworn never to be.

The Launch of Robe du Jour

Been working on this site for quite sometime now, and it's finally ready to launch! Yay! I have always wanted to do something with my passion for the fashion industry, and now I have. :)

I have always wanted to share what I have always liked with people who has the same interest as me. The Fashion Junkies event which I organised not long ago have inspired me. The launch of Robe du Jour marks my initial step into the fashion world.

Most people will wonder, what does Robe du Jour really means? It literally means "dress of the day" in French. What I want to create is statement outfits and featured trendy pieces that are versatile which can be worn with anything. Dress it up or dress it down and you'll be ready to rock!

Robe du Jour's debut collection is called 'Metal, Stones and Gretel'. All you ladies thinks that studs should be a statement rather than a trend, has a fetish for fierce leather skirts and insanely high chunky black hooker heels, this collection has pieces that will suit all your everyday pieces. Well well... let's see... what have I been doing for the past 1 month?

I don't even know it myself! Oh wait, quite a fair bit of activities but none of them seems to be related to productivity. *sighs*

However, I managed to score myself a part-time job at NOVO during Christmas. Better than nothing I suppose. At least I'm contributing to my very minimal cash flow from my (already very patient) parents. :S

So... back to why I'm really here. As some of you might have heard about Fashion Junkies, it was actually organised by me and my friend, Jun. Yes, we were the mastermind behind all this chaos. It was supposed to be a friendly event, but in the end we made people spend more money :P.

Ok, I know this is way overdue. But I believe when you have less time to do cumbersome things i.e. blogging it means you actually have a life, or should I say the least. Hehe.

3 weeks ago, I had the privileged on taking the biggest plane in the world on the Singapore Airlines A380 to London Heathrow. Since it was a brand new aircraft, evidently the interior of the plane was astonishing. I like how they have food and drinks every 1 hour whether you like it or not, and sometimes they do force you to take chocolate and chips so it does not go to waste afterthat. Did you know they actually throw everything away when it is not consumed on the aircraft.

Anyways, back to why I’m sitting here at 1pm in front of “la pomme” where I should be actually out there contributing to GDP. I need a job ASAP!

I still need a guide book. Pardon my French.

Back to Reality

I had a dream. I woke up from the dream. I looked around in wonders. Don't get too excited Sue, it was just a wonderful dream...

I am currently back in Melbourne. Into reality I suppose. The bad thing is, I miss home dearly now. =( The good thing is, I'm reunited with Yoon Sing. =)

I've done so much for the past few weeks till I don't know where to begin. Londres et Paris was rattling. I'm still in the process of preparing my pictures for the next post. I'm actually preparing the descriptions as well. LOL. I hope you guys aren't expecting too much, they aren't the best pictures I would say.

At the mean time, I'll just update about what is happening domestically. My MBP has finally arrived, after 4 long weeks wait. =)

My new 15" MacBook Pro =)

Mum and Sis are coming to Melbourne in 6 days. At least now I feel so much better. I came back from London and left Malaysia so quickly till I did not realise how much I wanted to be at home with my family and spend more time with them. When reality kicks in, it strikes you hard doesn't it? Thank God Yoon Sing is around when I'm back here. I don't know what I will do without him.

Will return next time with the post on Paris et Londres!

If I was Einstein, my first creation will definitely be a time machine. 13th of July marks the official date of the end of my uni life. I would give up anything to be a student once again =(. I'm serious! My results were pretty amazing this semester. I had 1 HD and 4 D! This is by far the best results I have ever gotten in all my semesters. I was pretty amazed on how well I did. I suppose if I were to end it, might as well do it with flying colours. =)

This week has been pretty much therapeutic with lots of shopping and relaxing times with friends. Went to Pavilion today with the Melb gang. Yum cha with the Melb gang yesterday too. Met up with Charmaine a couple of times and had a barbeque at Adrian's house on Friday. We have finally put the gruelling quest for our most beloved Taboo in good use. LOL.

Currently, my family and I are planning a trip to Londres et Paris. Je suis très excités! Je ne peux pas attendre!

I've been wanting to say this my whole life. "Paris, here I come!" I can finally put my French in good use, though I'm not that good at it. LOL.

Eventful Much?

On Sunday, Adrian, Andrew, Weng Foo and I went for a little adventure on our own. More of a Taboo hunting adventure.

It started off with me wanting to go to KLCC to get some really overpriced magazines(ViVi) from Kinokuniya. I really do think that PJ should have an outlet.*leers*

As usual, my unruly character will naturally embroil myself into a situation where there is no turning back. I fell in love with something in PRADA. *God help me please*

Afterthat, off we went on the quest for Taboo. We started at Kinokuniya itself, then on to toys 'r' us, and then Parkson. No luck!

Weng Foo suggested that we try out MPH at 1 Utama. So there we go again, all the way from KLCC to 1 Utama. Still no luck.

Lastly, we endured our hunger and proceeded to our very last hope. Tropicana City Mall's toys 'r' us. No luck either! In order to please our efforts, we asked the sales person there and guess what he told us. There are 6 left in the whole of Malaysia. All at Alamanda, AT PUTRAJAYA!!! Can you believe it! LOL.

That's pretty much the end of it actually. The after story is yet to be told. All for the love of TABOO!

Baby Steps

I met up with Yin Yen yesterday night for the first time after her 2 months relishing trip around Europe. We went from one mamak to another. We were joined by Drew, Faiz, Eugene, Adam, Arif, Kenzie and Chris. From Devi's in Hartamas to Murni in ss2. It has been donkey's years since I've done that and it felt like I have relived my unforgettable high school days. :D

I'm still currently waiting for my MBP. It has been ages ago since I paid for it. :(

I would give anything to have good skin

In recent years, I have developed a skin problem. I have ginormous amount of inflaming acne and unsightly scars which was the cause of decrement in my self-esteem. In an attempt to meliorate my displeasing to the senses image, I have converted from one product to the next but nothing seem to solve my problematic skin.

Can anyone tell me what to do?

Since the ever increasing usage of Facebook by youth or should I say the community over the past year has caused a blog hiatus for me. You know what I mean...!!!

Honestly, I do not really have a reason of why I have stopped blogging for seven months. I still remember the days where I used to take pictures of anything and everything just so that I can come home and start writing about anything and everything and posting it up here. Gone were the days...?? Yet to know......

As some of you would know, the beginning of this year has been one of the toughest time I had in my life. Those were the days where I blog, and I loved it. After a certain incident, everything that I used to love and enjoyed doing has somehow became emotionally affected and turned to dislikes, or should I say hatred.

After a long deliberation, I have decided to keep this blog of mine. Who knows it might come in handy one day for a certain project that I am attempting to pursue.

Things has changed over the past year. As for the plans which I initially had, they are all either different or canceled now. The trip to New York is now canceled because of the deterioration of the economy, instead of possessing a Sony PSP initially, I am now a proud owner of a red and black Nintendo DS and instead of wanting a macbook air, I now trying not to convert myself to a MAC user. LOL. Gone were the days...

Though these are just the most insignificant changes that a person could ever have, I really like to think that even little changes like this do shape a person differently. I believe preferences do make a person behave and react differently to things. :)

Interesting really. I did many things which are out of the ordinary this week. For me it is. Usually my life consist of just being totally stranded at home and stoning my head out when I have no plans at all.

Guess what, I went to a Jewish museum with my best friend at 10 am in the morning. Can you believe that? 10 am in the morning! Whatever, it's totally out of the blue. It's really informative I tell ya. In just 2 hours, I managed to absorb at least 5% of the Jewish history, rituals and beliefs. Ha! Not bad eh?? For a person who does not have any idea at all about Jews. We wanted to stay for the synagogue, but time was an issue for us.

It's Easter weekend, means I have a full on 5 days holiday. We'll see what else will turn up out of the blue k.....

The worst thing is, my wardrobe ain't small you know.

My mum has been nagging to me about the amount of junk I have in my room! She tells me that I have a retail problem and if I am not careful, my kids would landed up not being able to study overseas =.=. *slaps forehead once again, but so true*

How now? Donate all the unwanted stuffs to Salvos and sell the ones that are still in perfect condition on ebay? *lazy lar*

Today was the most typical of uni days where I go to uni... come home... on my comp... check my bank balance... log into my rmit e-mail... log into my hotmail... chat... complain to someone that I'm bored... stone... procrastinate... debate whether I should go rent some dvds or not... landed up being lazy... read magazines... eat... and then zzzzzzzzzzz... till 8-9 pm.... wake up... stone again... and then sleep.... AHHH!!!!!

As you can see... none of the above shows any sign of being a typical student... did you see read the lecture notes...?? NO. Did you see starting on the assignment...?? NO. I'm sorry I have to swear.... SHIT...!! What happen to you Sue....??!!

Pretty amazing experience. Arts Centre was fantastic! Lights a little dim, kinda makes you wanna snooze though. Never thought that life, waking up every morning and travelling down St. Kilda Rd on the trams to uni was actually a bliss until now. Listening to my favourite songs on my iPod and watching the world pass on by is actually quite comforting. This WAS my life more than a year ago before everything started. Seriously, now come to think of it, it ain't that bad!

I am looking forward to that long awaited excitement!

If some things were never meant to be.....

It means it was never meant to be....

My life for the past 3 months has been a total disaster I would say, and sometimes I think maybe I have brought myself upon it. It's the past though, and anything said now is no longer important or relevant anymore. We have separated our paths and decided to go different ways on our own. Some with the company of a special someone, some with the company of social groups.

I have moved on I would say, with the help of the quote "everyone wants to know the truth... until they find it...." and I did. Saying that I am not sour about it is a total lie, but I guess as a regular human being, you just have to accept it and be happy for what it has become.

Now, I am perfectly happy with how things are. Putting everything behind us and move on with life. I rest my case and most importantly I have let everything go to rest.

My god. I did not realise how long I have been absent since just now. I think I better keep up with the blogging pace or not I will lose touch.

Well, there is always a reason or reasons behind everything right? My reason is pretty simple. Went for holiday, busy shopping, catching up with old buddies, bf having to come over for the weekend and blah blah blah. But none of it was an excuse ok.

This post is actually for me to share my feelings about how my life this holiday is going to change by a certain event. I seriously do not know what to expect tomorrow. I am going to work in an office job starting tomorrow you see. I never had experience working in the corporate world which I think would make it harder. So, wish me luck. I do hope everything turns out well.

The Uncertainty of Summer

I guess this post is quite overdue. I am still kinda waiting for my dear friend to send me some of those pics. But anyways, I should post something about my arrival in Malaysia.

Everytime I stepfoot into KLIA, I always have that feeling something is going to change this time. Every single time I come back, there is always something that changes. Friends getting lesser, the places that we used to hang out has become a total stranger, the familiar faces somehow does not seem as familiar as before. I guess time has changed, for the better I suppose. But somehow, there is always those familiar face that no matter how unfamiliar they may seem, it always seem the same internally. These are the kind of people which I would give anything in the world to hold on to.

So it would seem that this summer would be a total different one than the previous ones. Me not having a job and not knowing what I will be doing next semester and all. It is totally uncertain. Not like back in the days where I would enjoy till my heart contents and knowing that I would be going back to school sooner than I think when I go back to Melbourne the next semester. I guess this would be different. I wonder if its for the better or for worse. I really have no idea right now.

If you were wondering, I did managed to secure myself a job in Melbourne. Unfortunately, I turned it down for something more worth while doing. I do not know if I made the right choice but I guess every decision we make do lead to something we never expect. Like I said, creating my own fate. So that's that, we should see how it goes.

I Wonder

Sometimes you look out to the world and wonder, is it just me or is it the world that is being unfair. I sometimes wonder if it is actually both. However, I do believe in creating your own fate. My choice of extending my stay in Melbourne has created an unexpected turn which I have prayed hard for.

I really do hope that it will stay with me a little longer. I only want something "this" much once in a very blue moon.

People say it's Deepavali, but I say it's my 1st year anniversary with the boyfriend. However, we decided to keep it low. No celebrations, no presents and no surprises. Don't ask me why, it's kinda just because we did not wanted an extravaganza celebration. But I guess the boyfriend did not wanted the day to pass without at least some red atmosphere which represents you know what. So his sneaky mind decided to surprise me with this.

So that's that.

After every big successful battle, there is always the time where you bid farewell to your fellow team mates and friends goodbye. Going home to the loved ones where we once left to find a path where it will lead us in the future. Although it has been long waited to leave this place, but we know we will miss it nevertheless. I know I will.

This is how we said goodbye! With the company of laughter and joy and good Thai Green Curry and later on Gelato.

Being in the modern metropolitan world, it is sometimes hard to keep up with the couture that was once originated from the vintage and conventional world of fashion. I would say that Coco Chanel has her fair share of the invention. And also because of her, the modern world could never keep up even with the contemporary fashion.

At present, people like me and Kim would like to look back and mend those pieces that were once left out a very long time ago even before we were born. We decided to go for some contemporary shopping which was inspired by the conventional world of fashion, our newly amusement, Vintage.

And to Brunswick Street we went. A little Spanish Churros complemented the afternoon under the scorching sun.

there were 3 senoritas who was captured by the evil vibe of examination. They waited and waited for the time where they would be released from the evil evil vibe. Everyday, they prayed hard for that moment.

One day, while they were slaving their way through the work they were slaved to do, an angel of life came to their rescue and released them from the evil vibe and they were FREE!!!

2nd Year has Come and Passed

It's all gone now. The 2nd year of my degree. Which means I only left with 1 year of stuyding and then I'm on my own? Sounds great right?

Don't get me wrong. I do feel very happy. Exams are over, holidays are here for good, not technically but it does feels like it. But it means study life is going to be over soon. In fact, I am already feeling it. Remember again, I have to find job next year for my co-op year? Well, that still did not go so well if you are still wondering. Wish me luck for that! Oh, which brings me, I will not be going back to Malaysia on the 9th of November but on the 16th. I am so sorry Maine dear, I can't be there on the day of your birthday. I hope you understand, even with the slightest chance and the slightest hope, I really will like to fight for it.

Coming back to my point. When people tell me that uni was the best times of theirs lives. I tend to give them the sneer and say, " are you kidding? Who likes to go to Uni? It's so depressing!" But now, I finally understand what they are talking about. When you are a student, you are a student. The only responsibility you have is to study and nothing else. Your parents pays for your tuition, most of your expenses are taken care of because all they want you to do is to concentrate on your ultimate responsibility instead of going out to find work. Life has never been that great, hasn't it?

When you start working, it's all up to you. Earning those cash and rationing it properly so that you don't go broke at the end of the month and so that you can pay those enormous amount of rent. Not only that, you have to go to work from 8am - 5pm everyday without any off day unless of a public holidays. You get that as a student too, but you get public holidays AND off days as well! You can miss classes and do whatever you like and won't get expelled. Unlike working, you'll definitely get fired! Nuff said.

Well, bottom line is, do live life to the fullest when you have the chance as a student. Things do not come easy I know this, but it won't last as well. I suggest we all should make full use of it. I know I will.

Once in a while...

I have those emotional feeling about my family. Those who knows me really well will sorta know what i'm talking about.

Whenever I see siblings hanging out together, having a great time, telling stories about their lives, pursuading the parents to get them something, shopping and eating together, I tend to feel really really sad because I know I will never be able to do that. Never had and never will, as in literally.

The worst thing is, I do have siblings. None of which I can communicate properly with. It is not because we have a terrible relationship or anything that comes under that category, but it is more of an act of God that created the obstacle.

A few years back, things got worst. Worst than ever. I guess those were the days where I feel even more insecure about my family but it never occured to me to give up hope.

I never complained about what I have now, I feel lucky in a way to be just ordinary and normal. Parents that never give up hope on them. I believe God takes something from you and gives something back in return. Depending on how you want to see it. I know for sure that this may not make sense for most people. Yes, sometimes you will feel that he never takes anything from anyone but instead he gives them more. I do feel that way too...

Trust me, you never know what lies beneath.

Reason 1: I do not know it from the back of my hands. I'll probably make you pay more tax instead.

Reason 2: I'll probably add an extra 0 at the back of your tax liability because I can be really careless.

Reason 3: I CAN'T EVEN DO MY OWN TAX PROPERLY!

Tomorrow is Taxation Law! But I guess with the help of notes and tutorial questions, it will make my 3 hour 15 mins torture easier. That is the only thing I like about Law subjects. Flip those pages baby!

Ohhh btw, I have just fell in love with the new MAC for McQueen collection. I guess he managed to rob me again this time. Arggghhh...!!! Tax you then only you know!! I can be a little weird at this time of the day, somemore with the Tax stuff kicking in.

I should be studying instead of blogging right now. Its already Tuesday and I still have not finish at least half of the subject. I can't help but keep flipping through the new ViVi magazine that I just bought this afternoon. It's addictive I tell you! Japanese Magazine rocks! They have mostly pictures with all the lovely clothes and models and no words! Mostly because I can't read Japanese but erm... that's the whole point anyway...TO LOOK AT PICS!

Seriously, if you do have access to these lovely lovely so-called bible. JUST GET IT! Don't care about the price. It's worth it I tell ya. Besides, how costly can a magazine be anyway?

Ok, I really do not know what that website is but I do know I seem to be saying that line really really regularly for the past few weeks. I wonder if I will get sue for breaching the copyright legislation? "Funny".

Seriously, I really want all this to end. I just had my first paper today and what can I say, it did not start out well. It is in fact way below my expectation. I don't care if others said the same thing, but it's me, me who is the one sitting My paper. My pen. My brain. My luck. What I am trying to say is, I really did put tremendous effort into this paper, but yet no luck.

Sometimes I wonder, have I deteriorated that much in intelligence or things just seem to get way tougher beyond your reach. Anyone like to answer my question?

...... you tend to turn to the person you trust most for comfort. As for me, I trust him with my life, and I'm serious.

There is always a time where you wake up one morning from a bad dream and the dream somehow "eerily" relates to real life. Oh man, I must be a very stressed woman at the mo to have this type of dream.

There is nothing better than waking up from a bad dream being able to turn to someone that you know cares for you more than anything else in the world. Fortunately, I have the privilege. I am a very happy person once again.

I finally know how it feels like standing in front of Tyra Banks waiting and hoping for the moment when your name gets called to let you know that you have not been eliminated.

Well, my experience is somewhat a little different from above in a sense that I have not been called nor been eliminated!

For those who didn't know, this semester for me is torture because I have to concentrate not only on my studies but also job hunting. I need to find a job for next year to complement my degree in Accountancy. Damn stress lor!

One by one, I watch my friends and course mates get call backs and interviews and even appraisals before they even started working! Do you know how it feels? Do you know how demoralize I am right now? This is so not fair!

When will it finally be my turn to pick up that call? To jump for joy? To be able to comfort the parents that their daughter has the ability to find work? Hey! it can be stressful knowing that your kids can't find a job you know!!!
